About the Service

A: When you signup, you provide your credit card payment information that will then be charged the monthly service fee each month. Since we are unable to accept any other payment method (i.e. cash, check, PayPal, etc.), only credit card payments are currently accepted. You can view the date of your next recurring payment in your account.

A: No contract – the service is month-to-month, so you can cancel any time in your account.

A: No – to maintain consistency and to avoid confusion, you will need to use the 5-gallon bucket provided.

A: Is the bucket too small? – No problem! Please contact us to swap it out for the larger 16-gallon purple cart: you will simply need to pay $20.00, which is the difference between the activation fee you initially paid for the bucket ($25) and the activation fee required for the cart ($45).

A: Yes, you can have two (2) buckets. You will need to pay a $25.00 one-time activation fee for the 2nd bucket and then an additional $5.00 / month. To add this to your service, please click here.

A: Place your bucket where it is visible from the street at least 3-feet away from other bins, vehicles or other objects.

  • If you have a driveway: place at end of driveway on either side.
  • If you do not have a driveway: place along the front of the curb (not on the curb).

A: The bucket we deliver to you is property of Momentum Recycling. We ask that you take reasonable measures to keep it from being lost or stolen. With that said, we understand that sometimes stuff happens, and we will replace lost or stolen buckets on a case-by-case basis.

About the Process

A: We transport all food waste to the Wasatch Resource Recovery facility in North Salt Lake to be processed.

A: We understand that what can and can’t be composted can be confusing, so you can download our mobile app to use the Recycle Coach to search for specific items. In general, below is a list of common contaminants that are not accepted in food waste containers:

  • Compostable Containers

  • Yard Trimmings

A: Yes, you can put your account on a temporary hold up to four (4) months. A minimum of thirty (30) days is required. Once you restart service, you will be charged a one-time twenty-five dollar ($25.00) reactivation fee. Please contact us to put your account on a temporary hold.
