Food Waste Recycling In Holladay
Turn your kitchen waste into renewable energy with Holladay’s premier food waste recycling service.
Food waste makes up nearly 30% of landfill content and creates harmful methane gas when it decomposes. Our convenient curbside collection service transforms your kitchen scraps into clean energy and nutrient-rich fertilizer. This simple change to your routine delivers measurable environmental benefits. Our service helps you:
Align your actions with your environmental values
Reduce your household carbon footprint
Support local green jobs and sustainable infrastructure
Set an example for your neighbors and future generations
Make Holladay a cleaner, more sustainable place
Recycling your food waste has multiple benefits:
When food decomposes in landfills, it produces methane—a greenhouse gas 25 times more potent than carbon dioxide. We capture this gas and turn it into clean energy.
The biogas from your food waste powers homes and businesses with clean energy, reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
By diverting food waste, we extend the life of local landfills and reduce the need for new waste disposal sites in our community.
The nutrient-rich byproduct of the digestion process provides local farms with sustainable fertilizer, improving soil health and supporting local agriculture.
Food waste recycling creates a closed-loop system where food scraps help grow new food through renewable energy and fertilizer production.
Our food waste composting service processes materials that can’t go in home compost bins, including meat, bones, and dairy, creating a more complete solution.
