You can adjust your service at anytime. We simply ask that you provide a 90-day notice before cancelling service.

Frequently Asked Questions – Glass Recycling
Can I modify my service later if I need to? (bin quantity + pickup frequency)
Answer: Of course! Just reach out to us and we will adjust your service level right away. There are no fees involved.
Does the Diversion Reporting & Monitoring cost extra?
Answer: Nope! – we provide these reports to every customer so that they can monitor their progress and share their diversion stats with colleagues and customers.
Can you service my location within a set time window?
Answer: Our Logistics Team works hard to ensure that we are operating our routes in the most efficient manner and with the fewest emissions possible. We route stops according to their geographical location primarily, but if there are days and times when your containers can’t be made accessible, we will do our best to accommodate your needs – no problem.
Do you offer internal service?
Answer: Yes! – If it is more convenient for your daily operations to have us come inside and pull the bins out to be serviced, we do offer internal service for just $5.50/bin per pickup.
How do I pay for services? When am I invoiced?
Answer: Service fees are due prior to the 1st day of each month for the services scheduled in the upcoming month. Monthly fees of $100-or-less are required to be paid via credit card. Monthly fees greater than $100 may be paid via credit card or check. (We ask that you please notify us of any billing concerns or disputes prior to the last day of the month in question.)
Do you recycle windows?
Answer: Yes! – We provide window recycling services (framed & unframed) to multiple companies throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Save money by sending your glass to us for recycling vs. to the landfill. Please contact us for more information as this service requires different types of containers and pickup frequencies.

Why can’t glass go in the mixed recycling?
Answer: our local Material Recycling Facility (MRF) is unable to source-separate and process glass at their facility. Glass is very difficult to remove once the small shards find their way into the mixed recyclables (think needles in a haystack such as glass shards embedded in cardboard) – which then devalues the recycled commodities later when resold into the market. Glass also breaks fairly easily, and tends to then become very sharp, posing a significant risk to the person that handles and/or sorts the material. Lastly, when source-separated, more glass is captured in the process and able to be recycled.
Can broken glass be recycled?
Answer: Absolutely! Broken glass is perfectly acceptable. In fact, our glass recycling facility breaks glass down into pieces so small it looks and feels like sand (called cullet).
Do I have to rinse or remove labels?
Answer: Although it may be beneficial for your work space to avoid the smells that sometimes accompany food-related waste, it is not necessary to spend time washing your recyclables. By not washing empty recyclable containers, we can all preserve one of the most precious natural resources: water.
What types of glass are NOT accepted?
Answer: Most glass at your organization is recyclable; however, there are some materials that we cannot accept. Here are the materials that are NOT acceptable:

Where does the glass go?
Answer: We bring the glass back to our glass recycling facility where it is processed into cullet, after which it is used for things like fiberglass insulation, sandblasting, asphalt strengthening, and glass products (learn more about the process).
