Thank you for participating in the Food Waste Recycling Pilot Program!
Your recycling efforts helped divert a whopping 25,153 pounds from the landfill in just 2-months, which conserved 5.28 metric tons of CO2. That is equivalent to conserving the CO2 emissions from any one of the following:
673,535
smartphones charged.
12,915
miles driven in a car.
5,773
lbs. of coal burned.
Another way to look at the results is by the amount of dekatherms produced via anaerobic digestion: so far, the food waste diverted through this small pilot program provided heat for 428 homes for 1-day. Those results are incredible!

How do I pay for the service?
Just like Netflix or your gym membership, you setup a monthly reoccurring charge on your credit card.
There is no contract: you can cancel service at any time.
- Why is it not on my utility bill? – The Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District (WFWRD) – who provides your existing curbside services – wants to monitor this program and will most likely provide it in the future via contract with Momentum Recycling. Residents are welcome to contact Pam Roberts at WFWRD if they have questions or concerns: (385) 468-6342.

Frequently Asked Questions
About the Service:
How do I pay for services?
Answer: When you signup, you provide your credit card payment information that will then be charged the monthly service fee each month. Since we are unable to accept any other payment method (i.e. cash, check, PayPal, etc.), only credit card payments are currently accepted. You can view the date of your next recurring payment in your account.
Is there a contract? - Can I cancel later?
Answer: No contract – the service is month-to-month, so you can cancel any time in your account.
Can I use my own bucket?
Answer: No – to maintain consistency and to avoid confusion, you will need to use the 4-gallon bucket provided.
How do I increase from a bucket to a cart?
Answer: Is the bucket too small? – No problem! Please contact us to swap it out for the larger 16-gallon purple cart: you will simply need to pay $30.00, which is the difference between the activation fee you initially paid for the bucket ($15) and the activation fee required for the cart ($45).
How do I order more bags?
Answer: To order more bags, please click here.
Can I have two (2) buckets?
Answer: Yes, you can have two (2) buckets. You will need to pay a $15.00 one-time activation fee for the 2nd bucket and then an additional $2.00 / month. To have this added to your account, please contact us. Thanks!
Where do I place my bucket on collection day?
Place your bucket where it is visible from the street at least 3-feet away from other bins, vehicles or other objects.
- If you have a driveway: place at end of driveway on either side.
